NEW YORK (February 12, 2013)For the April supplemental booklet, “What’s on My Mind About my Job,” Cosmo has sought out the 40 top professional women in NYC. From various professional backgrounds including finance, startups, entertainment, media, education and more, these ladies will tell us exactly what’s on their mind. They’ll discuss topics including what they love most about their jobs, what their most excited about, what their most proud of, what makes them anxious and more. And of course, the booklet will feature what these industry savvy ladies wear to stand out from the crowd and feel their best! Selected women include venture capitalist investment advisor/startup entrepreneur Christina Wallace, and filmmaker/director Kristen Kress. In Wallace’s interview, she discussed women in the workplace and the need for more women in public office: “The 113th Congress has the highest proportion of females ever – 20 percent of the Senate and 19 percent of the House – but that’s still not enough.” Kress also talked about being a woman in a male driven field, as well as about the benefits of being able to use creativity and imagination daily: “It’s very rewarding to be able to see a project to completion, and to then see people enjoy what you’ve made.”

For the full interviews and photo shoots with all the ladies, be sure to pick up the April edition of Cosmo, on newsstands April 1.
