(New York, New York, November 5, 2013) – Kristen Kress & Brain Fry Productions have won two of the prestigious Awards of Merit from The Indie Fest. The award was given for Kress’ exciting Super Grannies Bridge Club, her latest short film. The campy, comic-book themed adventure won an award for Children’s/Family Programming as well as a supporting actor award for Evan Zelnick’s hilarious & evil portrayal of the film’s villain, Mr. Cuebid. Super Grannies was previously named an official selection by the Action on Film International Film Festival, in California, back in August. Writer/director Kristen Kress said she was “delighted! And not at all surprised that Evan is being recognized. He is absolutely hilarious! I am extremely proud of our team and excited to continue to share it with audiences.” What’s next for this heartwarming short? Kress says, “I want to expand it. (In the coming months), I plan to further develop the idea and find investors to potentially help us reach an even larger audience with the story.” You can watch the trailer for Super Grannies on the official Super Grannies page, here: SG Trailer.
